Eric J. Cherry
Senior Associate Attorney | Family Law
Eric Cherry dedicates his practice to family law, helping individuals and families navigate some of life's most challenging transitions. He represents clients throughout Greater Cleveland in divorce, custody, support, and domestic violence matters, providing practical guidance, strategic advocacy, and clear communication at every stage of the process.
Family law matters often involve difficult decisions about children, finances, and the future. Eric works closely with clients to help them understand their options, evaluate potential outcomes, and make informed decisions during emotionally charged situations. His practice includes complex divorce proceedings, high-conflict parenting disputes, and matters involving significant financial and personal challenges. Whether a client is facing a newly filed divorce, a contested custody dispute, or an ongoing family law matter, Eric focuses on creating practical strategies that align with their goals.
Known for his calm demeanor and straightforward approach, Eric believes strong advocacy begins with honest communication and realistic expectations. He understands that many clients have little experience with the legal system and often feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty that accompanies family law disputes. By explaining the process clearly and addressing concerns directly, he helps clients stay focused on what matters most while maintaining control of important decisions affecting their future.
Before concentrating his practice on family law, Eric gained experience in criminal defense and municipal court matters. That courtroom experience continues to benefit his clients, particularly when cases involve contested issues requiring litigation and ongoing case management.
Eric earned his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cleveland State University. He is committed to helping individuals and families pursue practical, long-term solutions and move forward with confidence.
Eric lives in Euclid, Ohio with his wife, Tidakorn. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures and cuisines, hiking, and catching live music and movies.
“I can't thank N.P. Weiss Law enough. They accepted to work with me even if the time to the trial was extremely short, they move fast and professional. Very good and fast communication. Double Five Stars for Eric Cherry. It was a very, very good experience working with Eric.
