COMMUNICATIONS POLICY

CLIO, CALENDLY, SMS TEXT MESSAGING

Our firm utilizes the firm management platform Clio. You may access it in at https://www.clio.com/clients/, which will also have been sent to you in your email. Your assigned attorney will have sent you an invitation via email. Use your email that you provided to the firm at intake to log in.

You may also upload the Clio for Clients app as part of your sign-in. It contains a built-in scanner for you to scan and upload documents to your attorney. We highly recommend that you turn notifications on for the app to ensure that you are receiving communications.

Keeping client communications and documents in a single location, rather than communicating through email, phone, or text, is extremely important to avoid missed correspondence and ensure proper communication.

By signing on with the firm, you agree to the extent possible, use Clio for Clients as your sole method of sending written correspondence and documents to your attorney and their team.

Through Clio, we will send you event invitations, share documents for review, and keep you notified about the status of your case.

To communicate with us via phone or video call, our firm utilizes the Calendly system to schedule appointments between clients and law firm staff. To the extent possible, you agree to schedule phone calls, video calls, and any face-to-face appointments through Calendly. The contact information for all staff, including their links, is stated on the following page. PLEASE KEEP THIS INFORMATION TO BETTER ENSURE YOUR ACCESS TO YOUR LEGAL TEAM. It is highly recommended that you limit your phone conversations to 15-minute increments.

If you are unable to schedule a call timely through Calendly, you may call or text your staff member directly. Be advised that text messaging is a very unsecure method of sending correspondence to your attorney. You are highly encouraged to use the Clio app instead of texting whenever possible. We do, however, understand that text messaging is convenient, and therefore will correspond with you via SMS/Text Messaging, and from time to time will send you appointment reminders, contact requests and other pertinent correspondence.

By signing on with the firm, you are voluntarily opting in to receive SMS/Text Messages from our firm. If you wish to stop receiving text messages from us, reply STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, OPT-OUT, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text message sent from us.

Same day oral communications that are not scheduled in the above system will be considered emergency correspondence and will be billed accordingly.

Billing inquiries: All inquiries regarding billing should be sent to Erin Reyes at erin@npweisslaw.com, or 216-220-9884.
