Pricing Descriptions
Deposit - Retainer
This is how much it costs to start an open case. This money will go into a trust account that will be used to pay for work as it is performed.
Once this account is empty, you must replenish the account for future work. We also require a higher deposit in advance of any trial.
Hourly Fee
Most of our cases are billed on an hourly basis. Different staff members may work on your case per their billable hourly rate. This is so that the staff member best suited to the work can save you money and time based on the experience level needed. You are only billed for the legal work, and not administrative tasks.
Managing Attorney: $350/hour
Senior Associates: $325/hour
Associates: $225-$250/hour
Senior Paralegals: $175-$185/hour
Paralegals: $125-$150/hour

Flat Fee
For many engagements, we can predict the average amount of work it will take and have one price for all of the work performed. For these matters, your only additional fees will be for court costs or expenses.
Contingency
On very limited bases, we will take a matter on contingency. Contingency means we will work for a percentage of the total money recovered at the end of the case. We require a flat fee non-refundable deposit to cover initial costs on any contingency matter. The basic contingency fees are as follows:
Pre-mediation or final pretrial: 33% of recovery.
Post mediation or final pretrial: 40% of recovery.

The fees presented are baseline and represent the likely initial cost of your matter. For litigation matters, the total cost of representation may be significantly higher. It is possible, after consultation, that our attorneys may require a greater up-front cost based on the complexity of the matter. With the exception of flat fee representations, these fees DO NOT represent the most a matter may cost you. For more information on the costs of retaining an attorney or for questions about your matter, please contact our office at (216) 417-5111.
