Alexandra “Alex” Lavelle

Alex Lavelle is an Associate Attorney at N.P. Weiss Law whose practice focuses on real estate litigation and property-related disputes. She represents homeowners, businesses, investors, landlords, and other clients throughout Greater Cleveland in matters involving property conflicts, contract disputes, and complex civil litigation. 

Before joining N.P. Weiss Law, Alex developed a diverse litigation background representing clients in family law, civil rights, employment, and general litigation matters. At a boutique litigation firm, she helped build and lead the firm's family law practice while developing extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including legal research, case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy in both state and federal courts.

Alex's commitment to advocacy was shaped in part by her work with Florida State University College of Law's Public Interest Law Center, where she assisted survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, worked on children's rights initiatives, and participated in programs focused on expanding access to justice. These experiences reinforced her belief that effective legal representation can provide clarity, support, and direction during difficult circumstances.

Alex believes effective representation begins with understanding each client's goals and helping them make informed decisions throughout the legal process. Her approach emphasizes communication, preparation, practical problem-solving, and honest guidance tailored to each client's unique situation.

Alex earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and participated in public interest advocacy programs serving vulnerable populations. She received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism, summa cum laude, from Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.

Originally from Northeast Ohio, Alex is committed to providing thoughtful advocacy and practical legal guidance to individuals, families, and businesses facing complex disputes. She currently serves on the boards of Legal Aid of Western Ohio and Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE), reflecting her ongoing commitment to expanding access to justice within the communities she serves.

Outside the office, Alex enjoys traveling and soaking up sunshine whenever Cleveland decides to provide it. She also enjoys spending time with her Chihuahua-Corgi mix, Rocco, who is featured on the firm's Paw Support page.
