2025 Year in Review: Growth, Wins, and What's Ahead for N.P. Weiss Law

As we close out 2025, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for everything our team at N.P. Weiss Law has accomplished. I invite you to look back with us at a year defined by growth, service, and a steadfast commitment to empowering our community.

Expanding Our Reach

This year marked our first full year serving clients from our South Euclid office 24. Being rooted in this location has allowed us to strengthen our relationships within the community and support more local property owners, businesses, and families.

We also celebrated the official opening of our Elyria office with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce. Expanding into Lorain County has allowed us to better serve individuals and organizations throughout Northeast Ohio from two fully operating offices. In addition to our involvement with the Lorain County Chamber, we also joined several other chambers of commerce and participated in events throughout the year to better connect with the communities driving our region forward.

To support our growth, we welcomed new team members including a marketing coordinator and an administrative assistant. Their work behind the scenes has strengthened our operations and helped us provide an even better experience for more clients than ever. We anticipate even further growth this year!

Content and Community Education

One of our goals this year was to continue making legal information easier to engage with. We launched our official YouTube channel and consistently shared educational videos on real estate, family law, and estate planning. While these resources are not legal advice, my hope is that they help people feel more informed, more confident, and more prepared as they navigate legal challenges.

In addition to our online content, Nicholas Mitchell and I partnered with the Community Partnership on Aging to speak at the Highland Heights Community Center about estate planning for older adults. We were honored to be invited back for another presentation in July due to the positive response. Sharing knowledge with our communities continues to be a priority, and we look forward to offering more educational opportunities in 2026.

Recognition and Awards

I was humbled to be recognized by Martindale Hubbell with the Highest Possible Rating in Both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards through the Peer Review system. In addition, both Nicholas Mitchell and I were selected as Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2026, an honor awarded to a small percentage of attorneys across the state. These recognitions reflect our ongoing commitment to strong advocacy, ethical practice, and client-centered representation.

Client Success and Legal Wins

This year brought a series of significant victories, and I want to highlight the attorneys whose work made those results possible. Their dedication, creativity, and compassion continue to set our firm apart.

Attorney Rachel Kuhn secured a major result for a Cleveland-area family who discovered severe hidden defects in their newly purchased home. Through strong courtroom advocacy and detailed case preparation, Rachel obtained more than one hundred thousand dollars in actual and punitive damages, along with a supplemental award of attorney fees. Beyond this case, Rachel completed her first jury trial this year, handled it with confidence, and earned respect from clients, colleagues, and even opposing counsel, and obtained a strong verdict in favor of our clients. She also continued to grow her real estate litigation practice and began attracting new HOA matters through her steady, reliable advocacy.

Attorney Eric Cherry continued to achieve meaningful results in family law. He secured dismissals in contested DVCPO matters, resolved cases efficiently before trial, and helped families during some of the most emotionally difficult moments of their lives. His clients consistently describe him as calm, patient, honest, and deeply committed to their wellbeing. One client shared that Eric stepped in with little time before trial, moved quickly, communicated clearly, and fought for them in a way that made them feel supported at every step. That blend of strong advocacy and steady guidance is what truly defines Eric’s practice.

Attorney Nicholas Mitchell delivered impressive results across multiple areas this year. He obtained a six hundred-thousand-dollar judgment in a legal malpractice case, demonstrating his ability to navigate high-stakes litigation with precision. He also handled key depositions, positioned several cases for potential summary judgment wins, and earned praise from a fellow attorney who left him an unsolicited five-star review noting his fairness, professionalism, and strong advocacy. Nicholas also conducted his first jury trial in Medina County this year. While the verdict did not fall in our favor, he was publicly complimented by the judge, the jury, and the clients for his skill, composure, and advocacy. That feedback says more about his future as a trial attorney than any verdict could.

These achievements are a reflection of our team’s hard work and the trust our clients place in us. I am proud of the results our attorneys delivered this year and even prouder of the care and character behind their work.

Our Team and Our Values

This year reminded me how fortunate I am to work with people who care deeply about their clients and about one another. I often tell my team privately how much I appreciate them, but it is worth saying here as well. I am proud of the way we show up for the people who trust us, and I am honored to grow this firm with a group of individuals who embody our values of integrity, reliability, quality, and compassion.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we look into the coming year, our focus remains steadfast on protecting what matters most. You can expect to see new faces join our team as we continue to grow and strengthen the systems that support thoughtful, effective representation. Our mission is unchanged: to provide compassionate, reliable, and effective advocacy for property owners, businesses, and families across Northeast Ohio. No matter what challenges, opportunities, or uncertainties you may face in the year ahead, our firm remains committed to offering dependable guidance and trustworthy counsel through challenging, exciting, or uncertain times.
